The Coach House

We had a lovely week staying in the cottage. Just what the doctor ordered. We had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely return and recommend to all our friends.

A quaint and spacious one-bedroomed cottage with wood-burner. This semi-open plan property is beautifully decorated and equipped with all the facilities you could need. As you enter the light and airy hallway, you find a comfortable double bedroom, and across the hall, a bathroom with shower over the bath. This bathroom also has a heated towel rail. The open plan stairs leads you to a warm and inviting living room, with separate kitchen. Good internet connection and smart television will enhance a relaxing evening snuggled down with a glass of wine while your dog snoozes at your feet. 

We spent a very merry Christmas in this wonderful cottage. We had a very warm welcome and lovely festive treats – such a kind touch!

Heron's View

Lovely short break, two days walking and an easy day doing Ruthin town trail. The Craft Centre Cafe is very good – perfect for a rainy day. Very comfy cottage; thank you both!

Part of the old watermill, this cottage is entered through a fully glazed entrance porch, framing views of the nearby Clwydian Hills. There is a separate, well-equipped kitchen. A double aspect living room also looks out on to a sunny enclosed garden, making this cottage ideal for guests with a dog. As part of the original Mill, the thick stone walls, coupled with electric heating throughout, and wood-burner, makes this property cosy and very warm in an evening. The spacious double bedroom is approached by a wide staircase, again part of the old Mill structure. The bedroom affords views of the private garden and sunny landscaped terraces to the rear of the property for you to sit in, relax, and drink in the tranquillity. The ensuite bathroom has a heated towel rail and back lit vanity mirror.

The Granary

We have had such a lovely time staying at the Granary – couldn’t fault it! We settled in straight away and Steve was so welcoming. The Granary goes way beyond what you would expect. It’s cosy and absolutely spotless.

Spectacular views abound from this newly refurbished accommodation. Bright, and light-filled, with all amenities provided. Approached from an external stone staircase, which was once the housing for the Mill wheel. The double aspect living room, kitchen-diner, is beautifully decorated. From the double bedroom, wake up to stunning views of the valley and surrounding hills. From the bed, relax with a morning tea, put on the TV, and enjoy a film or catch up on the news. The beautiful bathroom looks over the easily accessed, sunny terrace, close to the property, which you can use and affords wonderful views over the surrounding hills and farmland. on a sunny day, relax here and read a book.

What a wonderful place! Thought has been put in to everything and the tower shower was amazing. Taking a cup of coffee to a viewing chalet in the morning was a highlight of our trip – Will definitely book again!

The apartment forms part of the building which housed the workings for the watermill. Accessed via a private enclosed garden, the apartment affords fantastic views across the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in front of the property. There is a pleasing kitchen living diner, with a large smart TV and a comfy sofa for lazy evenings in. The bathroom has an illuminated anti-fog mirror and a large tower shower provides a touch of luxury. The large king sized bed, a vanity desk, and additional TV is the icing on the cake! However, the hidden secret of this apartment is certainly the enclosed garden. A real suntrap, the patio furniture is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee in the sunshine. As with all our cottages, Curlew’s Nest also has access to the communal terrace, with wonderful viewing chalets giving spectacular views across the valley.
